A pair of Spanish country landscapes by Spanish painter Eduardo Pelayo Fernandez ( 1850-1901).

A native painter from Casablanca (Cuba), he was a disciple in Madrid of Emilio Sala. He presented at the National Exhibition of 1876 A soldier abandoned in the field; in those held later by Messrs. Hernández, Bosch and the La Acuarela Society, he exhibited An Idyll, Twilight, A Dancer, Meditation and various landscapes. Pelayo, who was a great friend of Casimiro Sainz, also a painter, died in 1901.
