In the period of 1890-1894 the artist was travelling in the Alps, Dalmatia, Korfu and England. He exhibited his first landscape in Paris in 1892, then followed London and Glasgow (the artist lived in England in 1905-1909). Later he returned to Austria to paint landscapes in Burgenland.
