Family scene in the front of house in Tunis was executed by German painter, restorer and illustrator Paul Lother Müller (1869 Berlin - 1956), studied 1886-89 at the Academy of Berlin, worked in Berlin around 1930, later to 1934 in Como, Italy, in 1934-48 in Verona, then in Venice, member of the National Association of Visual Artists of Germany. He traveled to Balkans, Turkey, Italy, Spain and Northern Africa. He painted landscapes, city views, fairytale scenes with dwarfs and gnomes and oriental scenes. Except our painting is known only few genre scenes from his travels in North Africa ( Tunis, Marocco), sold in international auctions.
