Large decorative painting by a German landscape painter of Munich School Anton Bernreiter (1835-1892). The artist studied in the Munich Academy under Schlotthauer and Schraudolph in 1855 when he executed many paintings for altars in the country churches. His career continued in Jos.Mayer´s Art Atelie in 1870 where he painted large boards for stained-glass windows that were later sent to England, France and America. For his whole life the artist preserved warm attitute to nature and painted many landscapes as well as scenes from country life, which brought him great acclaim from many a fan who gathered to his commemorative exhibition.
