Genre painting with a child as bulb seller created in the middle of 19 century . Due to the age , style and composition of it the painting was attributed in 2005 by Mrs. Dr.Wolf , (the Expert for 19 century paintings of Vienna Auction house "Dorotheum") to Johann Baptist Reiter (1813 - 1890 Vienna), famous Austrian biedermeier genre painter from the middle of 19 century. As it´s known, J.B. Reiter repeated his famous motive "Slowakian Bulb Seller" in the many versions and his genre scenes with similar motives of children as apple-seller and grapes-seller were very loved (see monography "Johann Baptist Reiter " by Alise Strobl, page 73, Catalog No.89 - identical dimensions and motive).
