The painting depicting view of San Goirgio Maggiore in Venice and  on foreground drived a Gondola  with romantic lovers and a poet on the board. Under image on the frame there is an original hand inscription as philosophic quotation in Gothic German : " Diese Gondel vergleich ich der sanft einschaukelnden Wiege. Zwischen der Wiege und dem Sarg wir schwanken und schweben und das Kästchen darauf scheint ein geräumiger Sarg auf dem grossen Kanal sorglos durchs Leben dafuhr" (we try to translate it in english: ".. this gondola comparison I with a cradle in-swinging . Between the cradle and the coffin we vary and float and the box on the gondola look like as a roomy coffin on the large channel carelessly moved over life along" .
