Great market scene in a European (German or French) city with majority of different folk types was executed in 1842 by renown German - French genre and landscape painter Ferdinand Marohn (or Maron or Maronnio), The artist born in Grandsee, Brandenburg/Germany, He took part 1839/1842 at the exhibitions of the Berlin Academy , since 1846 lived in Paris and until 1859 regularly exhibitied in Paris Salon. Paintings by him situated in museums of Potsdam, Reims and Ajaccio.

Condition: in good condition, original canvas was professionally relined.
