This original design (oil on cardboard) , probably to ceramic from the Art Nouveau time was created in ca.1900 in the style of famous viennese Art nouveau artist and ceramic sculptor Berthold Löffler . Bertold (Berthold) Löffler (* 28. September 1874 in Nieder-Rosenthal (Reichenberg in North Bohemia ; † 23. März 1960 in Vienna) was Austrian Art nouveau painter, designer and graphic artist. Löffler studied in the Viennese famous school of applied arts " Kunstgewerbeschule" bei Franz Matsch und Koloman Moser; since 1900 worked in Vienna.He grounded together with Michael Powolny 1906 the "Wiener Keramik". 1909–35 as Professor at the Wiener Kunstgewerbeschule , Oskar Kokoschka was his pupil. Löffler created many art nouveau ceramics including (together with Josef Hoffmann), fot Sanatorium Purkersdorf und Palast Stoclet in Bruxelles.
