High qualitative pair of family portraits from the Biedermeier epoch was executed in 1843 by listed Viennese portrait and still life female painter (Johanna) Jenny Fischer. The artist worked in Vienna and exhibited her portraits at the academical exhibitions of St. Anna. Our portraits signed " Jenny Fischer". Here isthe proof from wikipedia about identicy of both names : "..Jenny was originally the diminutive form of Jane (Johanna), but is now associated with Jennifer and Genevieve..."

Inscription: both signed and dated , lady portrait : "Jenny Fischer 23.9.(1)843 and gentleman portrait: " Jenny Fischer, 10.10.(18)43".

Technique: each oil on board, original Biedermeier period gold-plated frames.

Measurements: w. 10 1/4" x h. 12 3/8" (26 x 31,5 cm), framed w. 15 3/8" x 17 3/4" ( 39 x 45 cm)

Condition: both in very good condition.
