Extremely rare antique view of St.Peterburg from the Peter and Paul Fortress to the St.Isaac´s Cathedral was executed on the turn of 19th/20th century by famous Russian painter-architect Alexaner Ivanovitch Dmitriev (1878 Pskov - 1959 Leningrad). Alexander Ivanovich Dmitriyev (2 on October (14), 1878, Pskov — on December 2, 1959, Leningrad) — Russian and Soviet architect, the engineer and the architectural critic, the author of works on construction of engineering constructions. Studied at the St.Petersburg Academy of Fine Art (1901-1903), was awarded with the title "painter-architect" in 1903 for the design to a St.Petersburg concert hall. Academian of architecture (1912), the doctor of architecture (1947), the full member of Academy of architecture of the USSR (since 1939) and its honorary member of Academy of construction and architecture of the USSR (on June 4, 1956) Since 1904 taught at Institute of civil engineers (LEAGUE, LIIKS, the Leningrad construction institute). Since 1905 he was the member of council of Female construction courses V. F. Romanova, and since 1907 — the architect of the Admiralty shipbuilding plant. Since 1904 and until the end of life I taught at Institute of civil engineers — IGI (since 1930 of LIKS, since 1941 of LISI, now СПбГАСУ).
