Winter landscape by good listed German landscape painter Ernst Frommhold (1879 - Leipzig - 1955). The artist studied at the Leipzig Academy and undertook numerous study trips to Italy, Switzerland and Island.Ernst Frommhold was a quite well-known German landscape and marine painter . With readily volatile brushwork Frommhold gave both his native country as well as the landscapes he had seen on his travels again . Frommhold remained the traditional compositions and themes arrested and could not be influenced by the expressionist tendencies at the beginning of the 20th century . Works : " Summery low mountain range " , " Harvest Landscape with sheaves of wheat " , " Spring in the Berchtesgaden region with the small and the great Watzmann " , "Sunny forest road " , " way to the valley " , etc. His main work is " Wind Force 10 " . His works are mostly privately owned.
