Monumental panoramic view of Austrian lake Gosausee with Mount Dachstein on the background was executed ca. in 1860-1870s by listed German landscape painter Theodor Wilhelm Nocken (1830 Duesseldorf - 1905 ). For his mountain and alpine lake landscapes he used motives from his travel to Swiss Alps, south Bavaria, Salzkammergut . The artist exhibited by Berlin academical exhibitions since 1848, his works situated in museum of Altenburg and collection of Grand Duke of Baden-Baden
