This very important painting for the history of Waterloo, the last battle again Napoleon on 18 Juny 1815, depicts the storming of French positions in the village Planchenois by Prussian under General Bülow and it is illustrated in English, Russian and German Wikipedia and listed also in the famous Art Lexikon (in German) " Malerwerke des 19. Jahrhunderts" by F.von Boetticher.

The German title of this work in Boetticher is " Erstürmung des Dorfes Planchenois in der Schlacht bei Belle-Alliance" ( in English: The Storming of the village Planchenois in the battle by Belle-Alliance"). As it's known, the name Belle-Alliance (French "beautiful marriage" or "beautiful Alliance") is the name of a former guest house that Napoleon Bonaparte served as headquarters in the Battle of Waterloo. In the Prussian and German historiography, the name "Battle of Belle Alliance" was also used until the 20th century. This is due to Blücher, which already used this name in his reports on 21 June 1815.

Full description of this episode in the battle read in English under following link:
