Romantic coastal scene with Italian peasants was executed in the middle of 19th century and due to the certain similarities can be attributed to the hand of famous Hungarian landscape painter Karoly Marko senior (1791 Leutschau - 1860 Florence). One of the proofs is the completely identical painting by K.Marko of the same dimensions represanted at the Dorotheum auction house , sale on February 19, 2019, lot number 53 (see additional photo).
