Salon portrait of a lady from high society was executed in 1927 by Nikola Michailow, important Bulgarian-German portrait artist of great personalities, born 1876 Schumla /Bulgaria, died 1961 Hamburg. Impressionistic, subtle characterizing salonportrait by Mikhailov, who resided in Berlin and Hamburg since 1911. There, the artist quickly gained a great reputation as one of the most asked portraitists of high society in Germany and the U.S., the politicians, aristocrats, celebrities and film stars such as Kaiser Wilhelm II, Hindenburg, Stresemann and Anna May Wong.
