Lovely animalistic painting was executed c. 1890s and is the typical kitten painting of French animale and still life painter Alfred Arthur Brunel de Neuville (1852 - Paris - 1941). The artist recieved his acnowledge for cat genre paintings and still lifes, worked in Paris, where begun to exhibit since 1879. He became member of the Société des Artistes Français in 1907. His works are in following Museum collections: Louviers, Beziers, Brest and Chateau-Thierry.
