Still life with orientalistic antiques was created by Austrian still life painter Ernst Czernotzky (born 1869 in Bruenn, died 1939 in Vienna). The artist started his artistic studies under the tutelage of Emil Purchan and after moving to Vienna in 1902 continued his education under David Kohn. To learn more the artist travelled to Germany, Belgium, France, Holland, Denmark and Italy. His cultivated still lifes finally brought the artist international acclaim.
