Lovely portrait of a Spitz dog was executed c.1930 by English portrait and genre painter Thimas Alfred West, who was born in Manchester, was active in Manchester in 1930-1960, where studied at the art school, he exhibited his works at the Royal Academy in London and Cambrian Royal Academy in Conwy.
