Outstanding still life with antiques by listed Austrian female painter Camilla Edle von Malheim Friedländer (1856 Vienna - 1928 ibid). Daughter of Friedrich F .; Sister of Alfred and Hedwig F. Pupil of the father, with whom she shared the studio and traveled to Italy, the Orient and Paris, where she stayed for further training. From 1892 at exhib. of the Austrian KV and the Künstlerhaus involved. She was awarded a med. For a work that she exhibited in the Crystal Palace in London. After the death of his father (1901) F. went to the Vienna Convent of the Salesian Sisters, where she practiced painting almost entirely. gave up. - Coined by his father, F. are small to miniature paintings on wood with kitchen still lifes, still lifes with antiques or arrangements with oriental. Household items known. These are characterized by great attention to detail, precise representation and disciplined, careful application of paint.
