Still life with wildflowers in a vase was created in the second half of 19 century by well-known French still life and genre artist Eugene Henri Cauchois (1850 Rouen - 1911 Paris). He was the student of Duboc, Cabanel and Quost, exhibited his flower and genre works since 1874 in the Salon. Cauchois awarded with different impotrant prizes . His works situated in the many museums in France and around the world (Rouen, Louviers, Rio de Janeiro, Chatellerault, Perpignan).

Inscription: signed lower right.

Technique: oil on canvas. Luxuriousy Salon original period gold-plated frame.

Measurements: unframed w 21 1/2 " x h 25 2/3 " (54,5 x 65 cm); framed w 28 1/8 " x h 32 1/4 " (71,5 x 82 cm).

Condition: in very good condition
