Colourfully still life with roses in a blue ceramic vase was created in the second half of 19 century by well-known French still life and genre artist Eugene Henri Cauchois (1850 Rouen - 1911 Paris). He was the student of Duboc, Cabanel and Quost, exhibited his flower and genre works since 1874 in the Salon. Cauchois awarded with different impotrant prizes . His works situated in the many museums in France and around the world (Rouen, Louviers, Rio de Janeiro, Chatellerault, Perpignan).

Inscription: signed lower right.

Technique: oil on canvas. Salon original period frame.

Measurements: unframed w 25 1/2 " x h 21 1/4 " (65 x 54 cm); framed w 33 7/8 " x h 29 1/2 " (86 x 75 cm).

Condition: in very good condition.
