Large painting with sea surf was executed by listed German seascape painter Karl Rohwedder-Ruge (186 - Hamburg - 1940).

Karl Rohwedder-Ruge, German landscape and marine painter who was very well known in Hamburg, created numerous seascapes of the North Sea coast, as well as mountain landscapes, Norwegian fjord views and motifs from the Old Country.
In his work, the painter shows a view of rough sea surf in turbulent seas
probably on the North Sea on a sunny day. As the waves break on larger rocks on the beach, the sun is reflected in the water with wonderful light reflections.
Masterful work by the North German painter from the Impressionist period in a very academic,
Realistic representation in particularly high-quality execution. Using minimally impasto and sometimes more lively paint application, the artist skilfully captures the prevailing atmosphere and romantic mood of an evening by the sea in wonderfully bright colors and conveys to the viewer in a unique way the beauty and characteristics of a wonderful landscape on the North Sea coast.
