Monumental hunting painting ”Royal deer in sunset” in original hand-carved solid wood frame was executed by famous Austrian animale and hunting painter Anton Schrödl (1820 - 1906 Vienna).
Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts and was characterized by excellent technique and precise execution. Because of the frequent depiction of sheep in his pictures, he is often referred to as the “sheep classic”. He painted landscapes animale and hunting paintings and was known as the inventor of "decals".

Inscription: signed lower right, on the back of the rare original hand-carved solid wood frame is the label of Eduard Feuchl, Prince-Bishop's auxiliary sculptor and wood carver in Moravia-Ostrau.
