4 paintings as 4 seasons by French landscape painter  Edouard-Joseph Brun (1860 Grenoble - 1935 St-Vincent-de-Mercuze). Student of Auguste Ravier, Jean-Alexis Achard and Laurent Guétal. co-founder the Soc. des Peintres de Montagne, official painter of the Club Alpin Franç., member of the Soc. of the Artistes Franç. and the Soc. of the Amis des Arts de Grenoble. Initially working as a gallery owner in Grenoble, he first exhibited his own pictures at the Salon du Blanc et Noir in 1892 and has devoted himself entirely to painting since 1895. Painted primarily. Mountain Lsch. in aqu. and pastel, also in oil, e.g. A Sassenage, Bords du Drac (Aqu.); La Dent de Crolles (past.); Soleil couchant sur les Grandes Rousses, Le glacer de la Pilatte (Gem.). occasion the WA from 1900 he created a ser. from Aqu. with the realized works of the Administration des Eaux et Forêts, which is in the Minist. de l'Agriculture were exhibited. He also carried out large wall decorations in public buildings, e.g. in the Grand Escalier de l'Hôtel Mod. in Grenoble, and ill. Brégeault's work on Mont Blanc.
