This original project for an popular Austrian magazine from turn of 20 century "Oesterreichs Illustrierte Zeitung" was created in 1916 by famous German military painter and illustrator August Ritter von Meissl (1876 Bösing - 1926 Munich).
Inscription: signed and dated 1916, lower left.
Technique: ink, sepia, gouache on paper.
Measurements: image w 24" x h 16 1/2" (61 x 42 cm)
