This humorful circus scene executed by Austrian good listed painter, graphic artist and composer Erhard Amadeus-Dier (second name Amadeus) , born in 1893 Vienna , died in 1969 Klosterneuburg-Weidling. He studied at the Staatsgewerbeschule Vienna , then at the Academy of Arts (by J. Jungwirth) and 1 year for music study . Since 1921-member of Viennese Art Union " Künstlerhaus". Travells : 1931-37 Switzerland, 1938 Praque, Spain und Italy. 1938-43 in Germany: 1939-42 als Chief-Designer by the Rosenthal-Porzellain manufacture in Berlin, nearby also as illustrator for different magazines Zss. (publisher Westermann; Velhagen & Klasing; Belvedere). Since 1945 worked in Austria again. 1946 Prof. und Prize of Austrian Nat.-Bank ; 1949 Golden honor medal of Viennese " Künstlerhaus" ; 1955 Prize of the Austrian Art Inst. . Besides paintings with allegorical, genre and old testment motives , also designs for bank notes, exlibris, tapestery, gobelins . Also he was active as composer. (cinema-music).
