"VEDUTA di un Eliocamino per abitarvi l´ Inverno, il quale era riscaldato dal Sole, che s´introduceva per le Finestre A, esposte al Mezzodi", original period etching by famous Italian architect and etcher Francesco Piranesi (1756 or 1758 - 21810 Paris ). This etching was executed ca. 1784 by Francesco P. as continue of the famous series "Vedute di Roma" by his father Gianbattisto Piranesi (1720 - 1778 Rome). Another exemple of this etching is in the Library of Teylers Museum (oldest museum in the Netherlands, dated 1784).

Inscription: titled and signed in the plate lower right.

Technique: etching without margins on strong wove paper, unframed.

Measurements: image 23 6/8" x 16 1/2" (60 × 42 cm).

Condition: in good condition.
