Masterful genre watercolour ( a pair to the item No. 738) depicts cossacks in Russian village was executed in 1849 by very good listed German artist Herman (Anton Hermann) Kowalsky (born 1813 in Dresden ). Since 1825 he studied at the Art Academy, in 1838 he worked in Munich, later in Vienna.
