Extremelly fine portrait (crayon on paper) of a French noble young lady was executed in the first half of 19th century by listed French portrait and miniature artist Alphonse Giroux (1775 - 1848), it´s known his miniature portrait of the Count Rumjantzoff from the collection of Russian Impress ( illustrated by Williamson).A painter of the same name was a well-known Parisian art dealer, pupil of David, organized between 1811 and 1857 various studio sales, was restorer and eboniste, restorer. He was the official restorer of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris and also known for constructing the daquerrotype cameras designed by Daquerre.
