This view of Viennese Schönbrunn palace park with the Neptune fountain and Gloriette on the background was executed in 1900 by good listed Austrian painter and architect Gustav Bamberger (1861 Würzburg - 1936 on the Zehenthof at Scheibbs/Lower Austria). Studied.: First, architecture at the Polytechnic school and fine art academy in Vienna by Friedrich von Schmidt and in Düsseldorf. Worked 1884-91 in Schmidt´s office and led, among others, decorative works at the Vienna City Hall and at the cathedral in Pecz(Hungary). Around 1900 moved to Krems on the Danube, where he competed with Josef Utz Jun. Plans for a municipal theatre in association with a hotel building (not executed); In Krems, according to his plans, Div. Public. Buildings and residential buildings. Next to it are monument designs. 1917 plan for a sapper-Academy at Kreuzberg (not realized because of the First World War). From 1893 member of the Viennese union Künstlerhaus. In 1896begun his painting studies among others, by Carlos Grethe at the academy in Karlsruhe, as well as studies by Hugo Charlemont, Hugo Daranaut and Gustav Schönleber, predominantly dealing with painting. 1900 founding member of the Hagenbund, whose exhibitions he participated in the Viennese artist´s house. – Influences of the Vienna secession, especially of Josef Maria Olbrichs, among others, joined the residential buildings in Krems. In addition, Bamberger created watercolour views , especially landscape, city and architectural views, which are determined by their immediate impression and a precise observation, which is also trained in the realism of Ferdinand Waldmüller.
