Original drawing was excuted in the early 20th century by good listed Austrian painter and theater designer Hermann Grom-Rottmayer (1877 - Vienna - 1953). Die to the typical hair style this work depicts famous composer Franz Liszt conducted this concert. As it´s known , Ferenz (Franz ) Liszt conducted symphony concerts of his music works and works of other contemporary composers in different European capitals ( including Richard Wagner, Berlios, Schumann, Mendelssohn). Also in favor of Franz Liszt is the fact that the author, along with genre and landscape paintings, worked as a theater designer and illustrator, and our drawing can be a stage decoration project or illustration.

The author Hermann Grom-Rottmayer studied from 1903 to 1906 at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with Alois Delug. From 1906 to 1908 he attended the Munich Academy under Ludwig von Herterich. Later he taught at the art school for women and girls in Vienna and from 1926 worked as a professor at the Technical University in Vienna. He founded a seminar for theater production, artificial lighting and advertising through light in Vienna. From 1910 to 1939 he was a member of the Vienna Secession (Association of Visual Artists) and from 1939 a member of the Künstlerhaus Wien. The best-known student was Helene von Blaas.
