This is original lithograph, executed around 1950-1960s by Austrian painter Christoph Donin.

With great technical ability, Christoph Donin (1930-2013) created a graphic work that is reminiscent of Gustave Moreau. In addition to a light, enchanted world of images, he also strikes more serious tones - for example in the "Astronauts-Dinosaurs" cycle from the 80s, which can be read as an early comment on the climate catastrophe.

Donin, Christoph, Austrian painter, graphic artist, illustrator, ( 1930 Bregenz, died in Vienna 2013), worked in Vienna. Studied: 1948-53 HS for applied art ibid., with Ceno Kosak and master class with Franz Herberth (ill., printmaking); 1953-1956 lectureship ibid. 1959-1972 head of graphic. Wkst. Award: 1955 Austrian HS Prize; 1958 Advancement award from the Central Savings Bank in Vienna. – Combines reality and dreams in gem. paradises. its content the fantasist. A work close to realism "in its baroque phantasms is more akin to the bizarre figures of a Herzmanowsky-Orlando" (B.Borchhardt-Birbaumer). Also book ill. (e.g. vignettes and offset lithographs for F.
