Original ex-libris for a bibliophile , signed by the author in pencil under image. The author, renowed graphic artist, illustrator and painter of the Fin de siecleFranz von Bayros (1866 Zagreb - 1924 Vienna). He also published his works under the pseudonym Choisy le Conin.

Bayros is often compared to Aubrey Beardsley and Felician Rops, the other two major erotic painters.. Unlike those, however, Bayros was often forced to subordinate his talent to the realities of the market. His illustrations of the classics of erotic literature are characterised by a talent for composition, subtle play with the ornament and lust for the ostentatious milieu. Among his numerous erotic works are many with BDSM motifs.
