A pair of French bronze candlesticks with mythological figures of god Mercury and godess Fortuna, late 19th century. Probably, after Giambologna and Fulconis. Each with light brown patina, Mercury raised on a plume of air from Zephyr´s mouth, Fortuna on a wheel, each on black stone plinth.
Technique: bronze, figures patinated with light brown patina, plinth: black stone with gold painted circle.
Measurements: total h 23 3/8" (60 cm ), without plinth 18" (46 cm).
