Sculptural portrait bust of Russian Empress Catherine I. Bronze, casting, engraving, patination, mount. Hallmarks: Felix Yulyanovich Chopin "F. Chopin", the patent stamp of the Ministry of Finance, indicating that F.Chopin received in the Ministry of Finance in 1867, the right for 10 years to cast in bronze only at his factory in St. Petersburg model of presented sculpture : (in Russian) From M. The sculptural bust of "Catherina I" was a part of the "Russian princes, tsars and emperors", a very popular among the works of the factory of F. Chopin. The presented bust is an rare model of the Russian interior bronze of small forms.
Inscription: on the bust is inscription in Russian " Ekaterina I", on the inside of the bust two stamps of foundry and ministry of Finance.
Technique: bronze. Dark-brown patina.
Measurements: unframed h 10 5/8" (27 cm).
Condition: Patina is in some places with traces of use.
