This military miniature on ivory of a Russian officer, dated 9 nvb (november) 1831 was purchased in auction house Dorotheum a few years ago as a original work of russian school.

Inscription: unsigned , dated 9.november 1831 lower left.

Technique: gouache on ivory . Original gilt bronze frame.

Measurements: unframed w 2 1/8" x h 2 7/8 " (5,5 x 6,6 cm); framed w 2 3/8 " x 2 7/8 " (6 x 7,4 cm)

Condition: in quite good condition, on the lower edge a small paintloss (see foto).
