Fine portrait miniature on ivory depicts a young lady , adorned with flowers in hair . This masterfully miniature was executed in the first quarter of 19th century in the style very closed to the renowed French miniaturist Jean-Baptiste Isabey (1767 Nancy - 1855 Paris).

Technique: gouache on ivory. original period wood frame with ormolu inner frame.

Measurements: unframed w 3 1/16" x h 3 3/4" (7,7 x 9,5 cm), framed w 7 3/4" x h 8 1/8" ( 18,7 x 20,4 cm).

Condition: in very good condition.
