Oriental still life by listed Austrian still life painter of Czech descent Ernst Czernotzky (1869 in Brünn - 1939 Vienna ). 

Czernotzky began his private painting apprenticeship in Brno with Emil Pirchan. After moving to Vienna in 1902, he continued his studies at the private painting and drawing school of David Kohn (1861–1922). He undertook several study trips to Germany, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Denmark, and Italy. From 1911, he was a member of the Austrian Artists' Association. Czernotzky devoted himself almost exclusively to still-life painting based on Dutch models. His specialty was still lifes with antiques such as glasses, tankards, jugs, and goblets.
