Biedermeier portrait of a young gentleman with cigarette was executed in 1830 by Austrian - Czech portrait, miniature painter and lithographer Anton Haala, who worked in Vienna in 1835-1868.  

He listed in lexicons : Austrian Artist Lexicon by Prof. H.Fuchs and Czech Artist Lexicon by Prof.Toman;  Schidlof I, 1964.

Inscription: signed and dated 1830, lower right.

Technique: oil on board. Original period gold-plated frame
