Masterfully portrait of a Rabbi ( probably of Joseph Isaac  Schneersohn (1880 Lubawitsch/Russian Empire - 1950 New York), the sixth "Rebbe" (spiritual leader) of the Chabad movement, a Hasidic group within Orthodox Judaism. 
The author of this Jewish portrait is Hungarian painter Jeno Doman (1901-1950). The artist , likely focused on realistic depiction of Jewish portraits in his work. 

Inscription: signed lower right.
