Still life with lilac was executed by good listed German female flower painter Clara Krüger von Sivers ( 1854 Pinneberg/Holstein - 1924 Berlin).
Clara von Sivers (born Krüger) studied at the Art Academies in Kopenhagen, Paris, Stuttgart and Dresden. She was married with the naval officier von Sivers, and lived with him on the estates of his count´s family : in the goods Staelenhof in Livonia, and until 1892 - in settlement Andrejewo, government Vitebsk, Russian Empire.
Clara von Sievers moved after death of her husband to Germany, since 1893 she lived and worked in Kiel and since 1898 - in Berlin. Works by Sivers situated in the Museum of Chemnitz and in many private collections in Germany, Sweden, Denmark and USA.
