Early 19th century landscape with figure of hermit and his hermitage on the shore of a forest lake. This classicist work was executed around 1800s by an Getman artist and due to the very close style, probably, by Ludwig Philipp Strack (1861 Haina, Hessen - 1836 Oldenburg).
Ludwig Philipp Strack was a German neoclassical landscape painter, lithographer, and copperplate engraver, as well as court painter in Eutin and Oldenburg. He belonged to the Hessian Tischbein family of artists.
