This is one of 4 views depicts landscape with Florence on the background and was executed in 1878 by Italian landscape painter Etore Alteui , who was active since 1868 in Florence and died 1902. On the website of the Italian gallery Recta (https://www.galleriarecta.it/autore/altrui-ettore/ ) is stated that Altrui is a pseudonym of the artist Guido Agostini and a biography is given. Guido Agostini was Tuscan landscape painter, in 1869 he began to exhibit at the Solemn Exhibition of the Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts in Florence, displaying the painting "View of the Villa Bellini near the Vingone Bridge", an exhibition in which he was present continuously until the 1902 edition, at which he presented the painting "Genzano on Lake Nemi (Roman countryside)". In 1871 he participated in the Society for the Promotion of Fine Arts in Genoa with 4 paintings including "Monte Pizzo d'Uccello near Carrara" and continued to exhibit at all the editions of the same until that of 1897, at which he exhibited the paintings "Sulla Sieve" and "In pian diSco, Valdarno". In 1888 he exhibited the painting "Colle di Val d'Elsa" at the XLVII edition of the Exhibition of the Society for the Promotion of Fine Arts of Turin. Under the pseudonym of Ettore Altrui in 1872 he participated in the Solemn Exhibition of the Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts of Florence, exhibiting the painting "I forte S. Giovanni Battista", an exhibition in which he participated again in the editions of 1873 and 1874, presenting in the latter the two paintings "Motivo dal vero presso Rignano" and "Motivo dal vero (Valdi Pisa)".
