Masterfully miniature on vellum was executed in the late 18th century and depicts , probably, King Charles I of England (1600-1649), his wife Henriette Maria of France (1609-1669) and their eldest daughter princess Mary (1631-1660). Technique: gouache on vellum, inner fire gilt bronze frame and outer wooden frame , covered with red fabric.
Measurements: unframed 5 7/8" x 4 7/8" (15 x 12,5 cm), total framed 8 1/8" x 6 7/8" (20,5 x 17,5 cm).
