Portrait of elegant woman with hat was executed by well-renowned French female portrait painter and poster artist Jean Gabriel Domerque (1883 Bordeaux  - 1962 Paris).

He began his career as a landscape painter, but quickly became a painter of the nude and semi-nude, a mischievous coquettishness that established his artistic reputation and made him wealthy through his wealthy clientele. Known for his long-necked silhouettes, Domergue dedicated his painting to the image of the sensual Frenchwoman, playful and coquettish.
