Moon light landscape with travellers was executed around 1800 by a follower of important German Baroque painter of early 17th century Adam Elzheimer ( 1578 Fankfurt am Main- 1610 Rome). Due to his early death and his slow painting style, which was also hampered by depression, he left behind only a few works. To date, 40 paintings and 30 drawings and gouaches are known.
