Impressionistic seascape was executed in 1930s by important Russian-French regisseur, playwright, creator of an original theater theory, theater historian, philosopher and actor, musician, painter , and psychologist Nikolay Nikolaevich Evreinov (1879 Moscow – 1953, Paris).
In exile, he lived in France. In 1933, as painter he participated in the Exhibition of paintings by artists from Montmartre and Montparnasse (Paris), exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants in the 1930s and 1940s, and held several personal exhibitions in galleries in Brussels. A few his seascape was high estimated in French and Belgian and Russian auctions.
On 20.03.2025 was offered for sale in Moscow auction house Sovcom a seascape by him ( estimate 7600 €- 15300 €); on 24.05.2012 a seascape was sold with 6500 € in the Belgian auction house The Bru Sale. ( see our last two additional images).
