Impressionistic scene ”Harvest time” was executed by Listed Hungarian illustrator and painter Gergely Pörge (1858-1930).

After completing his schooling, he attended the National School of Pattern Design in Budapest, and later studied under Sándor Wagner in Munich.

He returned to Hungary and continued his studies with Gyula Benczur at his master class.

In Hungary, he quickly established himself as a painter, achieving great success with the local population, particularly with his depictions of farm life and fairground scenes.

Exhibitions at the National Salon in 1903 and 1904 introduced his art to a wider audience.

In 1921, he was awarded the Tolnai-Simon Prize for his artistic achievements.

As an illustrator, he created drawings for various magazines.
