Romantic view of Bavarian lake Chiemsee with Fraueninsel and Herreninsel by listed Bavarian landscape painter Adolf Stiglmayer (1841–1916). He was a 19th-century painter working in Munich, known for landscape and genre paintings, especially romantic Alpine foothills. His works, such as "On the Riverbank" (1876), were sold at auction. Style and subjects: He specialized in oil painting, often focusing on Upper Bavarian landscapes, lakes, and fishing boats.
