This painting with bouquet of wildflowers was executed around 1890-1900, signed Bene, this name is not to find in any lexicons or on-line die bases and this is reason , that we think, that Bene is pseudonym of Eugene Henri Cauchois (1850-1911 Paris), because this work have all criteria to be attributed to his hand. it is known that Cauchois used pseudonyms also. For comparison see our 3 last images. Cauchois was the student of Duboc, Cabanel and Quost, exhibited his flower and genre works since 1874 in the Salon.
